Print this free Carnotaurus coloring page for a theropod with a very unusual face and arms. The dry landscape gives you a clear setting without crowding the dinosaur.
What we know about Carnotaurus
Carnotaurus sastrei lived in Argentina during the Late Cretaceous, about 72 to 69 million years ago. It was a meat-eating theropod with two prominent brow horns, a very deep skull, a long tail, and exceptionally small arms. The known specimen was roughly 7.5 to 9 meters long.
- Its horns are among the most distinctive features of any large theropod.
- The fossil was found in Patagonia, and the skin impression included small scales and larger bumps.
- Its exact hunting behavior is uncertain, so the page keeps the pose playful rather than claiming a specific action.
