Frequently Asked Questions

KaiaDraw offers 1000+ free PDF coloring pages for kids and adults, plus painting tutorials. Find practical answers about printing, classroom use, permissions, privacy, downloads, and the art.

Printing & Paper

What should I do if my printer renders the colors badly?

Coloring pages are primarily line art, so a strange color cast may affect the PDF preview, printer settings, or a page that includes color. Try printing in black and white or grayscale, confirm that the correct paper type is selected, and check whether a draft or economy setting is enabled. You can also open the PDF in another reader. Results vary by printer, ink, toner, paper, and driver. If the lines themselves look wrong, email the page title and device details to contact@kaiadraw.com.

What paper weight is best?

For ordinary crayons, standard printer paper is often a practical starting point. Heavier paper can feel more comfortable for colored pencils and may reduce buckling, but the right choice depends on the printer and the medium. Some markers can bleed through even heavier paper. Use paper that your printer supports and follow the manufacturer’s guidance. KaiaDraw does not guarantee a particular result for every combination.

How do I scale a page to A4?

Download the A4 version when one is provided. In the print dialog, select A4 as the paper size and check the preview. If only a US Letter version is available, use the printer’s “fit to printable area” or similar option rather than forcing an exact scale that may crop the page. Scaling can change margins and line size slightly.

Can I print from my phone?

Yes, if your phone, PDF reader, printer, and network support mobile printing. Open the PDF in a reader, use the share or print control, choose the printer, and confirm paper size and orientation in the preview. If the print control is missing, download the file and send it to a computer or a printer app. Do not judge the final page only from the phone screen.

Using Our Pages

Can I use a page in my classroom?

Yes. Personal use and use with a single classroom are allowed, subject to the Terms of Service. A teacher may print copies for students in that classroom. Please do not remove attribution, upload the PDF as your own, or redistribute it as a general download.

Can I share a page with a homeschool co-op?

You may share a link to the relevant KaiaDraw page with a homeschool co-op. Printing for a single class or group activity is generally permitted under the personal and single-classroom permission described above. Do not make a new downloadable bundle, sell the file, or repost the PDF on another site. For a larger or unusual use, contact contact@kaiadraw.com first.

What if a PDF will not open?

Download it again, check that the download finished, and try a current PDF reader or browser. A file can fail to open because of an incomplete download, an outdated app, or a temporary server problem. If the problem continues, report the page title, URL, device, browser, and any error message by email. A screenshot can help if it does not contain private information.

Permissions & Licensing

Can I sell the pages or use them in a paid workbook?

Personal use and use in a single classroom are allowed. Resale is not. Do not sell KaiaDraw pages, bundle them into a paid workbook, include them in a product for sale, or claim the artwork as your own. If you have a specific commercial request, ask Kaia at contact@kaiadraw.com before using the files. Permission is not automatic.

Can I share the PDF directly?

Please share the page link instead of reposting or hosting the PDF elsewhere. A link keeps the artwork connected to its source and allows Kaia to correct or replace a file. Downloading for your own personal use or one classroom is different from building a public mirror or a new collection.

Privacy & Kids

Are ads and cookies used for children?

Advertising, cookies, analytics, and third-party services can change. Review the Privacy Policy and COPPA Compliance page for the current disclosures. KaiaDraw does not ask children to submit personal information to download a page. Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of websites, forms, external links, and any service that collects information.

About the Art

Are the pages AI-generated?

KaiaDraw’s pages are described as hand-drawn coloring pages made by Kaia, a professional painter. The artwork begins with her subject choices and line work, with digital preparation used to make a clean printable file. Any use of AI tools in the wider writing or production workflow should be disclosed in the Editorial Policy once that workflow is confirmed. KaiaDraw does not use an unverified claim about AI assistance to replace an honest description of the art.

Can I request a subject?

Yes. Send a subject suggestion to contact@kaiadraw.com. A request is a suggestion, not a promise of publication. Kaia chooses subjects based on her creative direction, the needs of the collection, and the time available in a solo-artist studio.

Who makes the pages?

Kaia makes the artwork and runs the site. She is a professional painter, a mother, and a resident of Sonoita in southern Arizona. KaiaDraw is not a large company and does not have an art education team or employees. Read the About page to learn more about the person behind the collection.

How do I report a broken download?

Email contact@kaiadraw.com with the page title, URL, device, browser, and what happened. If the PDF opens but prints incorrectly, describe the print settings and paper when possible. Reporting details help Kaia locate the exact file and decide whether it needs repair.
