This hot cocoa coloring page features a generous mug filled with a tall cream swirl, plump round marshmallows sitting on top, and a classic candy cane leaning against the rim. With bold outlines and open spaces, this printable coloring page works well for preschoolers and elementary kids using crayons, colored pencils, or washable markers.
What to notice in this cozy mug drawing
Hot cocoa is a sweet winter treat rather than a health food, and half the fun on paper is picking the flavors you like best. My daughter and I love adding extra color to winter drink drawings on chilly afternoons here in southern Arizona. You can shade the mug in warm stoneware tones or bright holiday patterns, leave the marshmallows white with a hint of toasted tan, and alternate red and mint green on the candy cane.
Coloring and printing tips
- Paper choice: Standard copy paper (20 lb / 80 gsm) holds up well for crayons and colored pencils, while cardstock (65 lb / 160 gsm) is best if you use markers.
- Printer settings: Each PDF download is formatted for US Letter and prints cleanly at 100% scale in black and white, or on A4 paper using fit to page.
- Shading the cream: Try a pale blue or light gray pencil along the bottom edges of the cream swirl and marshmallows so they do not look flat on the white page.
- Usage terms: My pages are free for personal, classroom, and homeschool use, not for resale; please read the site disclaimer for full details.
