This gingerbread man coloring page features a classic standing cookie complete with icing buttons and a little bow tie. Print a copy from the button below for an easy kitchen-table project.
Shaped like a fresh-baked holiday cookie, this gingerbread man coloring page shows a smiling figure standing tall with round icing buttons and a neat little bow tie. Because the outlines are wide and uncluttered, this printable coloring page is a favorite for toddlers and preschoolers practicing with crayons, though older kids also enjoy inventing colorful candy outfits. It makes a quiet, screen-free, hands-on activity to set out on the kitchen table while real cookies bake in the oven.
A look at traditional gingerbread cookies
Spiced gingerbread baked into decorative shapes has a long European history at winter fairs and family tables. Today, rolling out dough and piping royal icing onto cookie people is a staple December tradition. On paper, you can stick with warm cinnamon brown for the cookie dough, then use bright reds, greens, or purples for the little bow tie and round icing buttons down the front.
Coloring and printing tips
- Paper selection: Pick standard copy paper (20 lb / 80 gsm) if you are using crayons or colored pencils, or load cardstock (65 lb / 160 gsm) for broad-tip markers.
- Printer settings: The US Letter PDF prints best in black and white at 100% scale, and adjusts easily to A4 paper when you turn on fit to page.
- Cookie texture: Lightly rubbing the side of a brown crayon over the cookie body gives it a warm, baked look before you color the buttons.
- Terms of use: My printables are free for personal, classroom, and homeschool use, not for resale; please review the disclaimer if you have questions.
