This Christmas dog coloring page shows a happy pup sitting politely with one paw raised, tongue out, and a pair of toy reindeer antlers on its head. Download the free printable below to print at home.
With its tongue hanging out and one front paw raised in a friendly wave, this happy sitting dog is dressed up for the holidays in a simple collar and headband reindeer antlers. The open spaces and bold line art make this Christmas dog coloring page approachable for toddlers and preschoolers holding crayons, while older kids can take their time shading the antlers and collar. Sitting down to print and color a page like this offers a quiet, screen-free, hands-on activity for winter break.
Ideas for coloring your holiday pup
Because this drawing shows a friendly, everyday pet dog rather than a specific show breed, kids have plenty of freedom with their color palette. You can use golden yellow, chocolate brown, tan, or classic black and white spots for the coat. A bright red or green collar with a yellow tag adds a festive touch, and soft brown or tan works nicely for the felt reindeer antlers perched on top of the dog's head.
Coloring and printing tips
- Choosing paper: Everyday copy paper (20 lb / 80 gsm) is great for wax crayons and pencils, while cardstock (65 lb / 160 gsm) keeps marker ink from soaking through to the table.
- Print setup: Print the US Letter PDF in black and white at 100% scale, or choose fit to page if your home printer uses A4 sheets.
- Small details: Use a sharp colored pencil for the dog's tongue, nose, and collar buckle so the colors stay neat inside the lines.
- Usage guidelines: This sheet is free for personal, classroom, and homeschool use only and is not for resale; see the site disclaimer for details.
