Ghost Family Coloring Page: Three Friendly Ghosts

Three friendly ghosts of different heights floating with small stars, free printable coloring page

Three ghosts, three heights, one friendly page. Print the PDF and start wherever you like.

Three friendly ghosts float in a row, one tall, one middle-sized, one small, each with a simple round face and a wavy hem where the sheet ends. Small stars dot the space around them; the rest of the page stays open. The shapes are big and the lines clean, which makes this a good first Halloween page for a child of three or four; the stars give older kids room to add detail. Crayons are easiest; pale gray, blue, or lavender pencils turn the folds soft.

Why a sheet makes such a good ghost

The sheet ghost has been a Halloween staple for generations because a plain white cloth over a head already has the shape we expect: a rounded top, a fall of fabric, a ragged hem. Nothing needs sewing, which is why it turns up in school parades year after year.

In a drawing, the folds do the work. A few curved lines down each ghost suggest cloth, and an eye and a mouth are enough for a face. Too many lines and the shape goes flat.

Coloring and printing tips

  • Print at 100% scale, black and white. On A4, choose "fit to page".
  • Copy paper (20 lb / 80 gsm) for crayons and pencils, cardstock (65 lb / 160 gsm) for markers.
  • Leave the ghosts white and color only the sky behind them for a fast, striking page.
  • Cut the ghosts out and hang them at different heights in a window; daylight through copy paper adds a glow.
  • Pages are free for personal, classroom, and homeschool use, not for resale. The terms page has the details.

The cupcake page makes a good follow-up, and the night scene suits a child who wants a darker sky. Browse the rest on the Halloween coloring pages hub.
